Assessment is an important part of your course. It tells us how well you are doing and what we need to do to help develop your English. There are three main forms of assessment.

First, when you first come to the college you will do a test that will tell us the best level for you to begin. Then you will have a test every 3 weeks. This will keep you informed of your progress.

Then, in the 12th week of the term, you will do a progress test. The progress test will cover speaking, listening, reading and writing. The progress test helps us to decide if you are ready for the next level of study. It also helps us to check your progress.

You should expect to spend up to three months at each level. However, if you learn quickly and attend all your classes, you can progress in less time than that.

If you do stay in a level for three months then you can expect to do 2 quizzes, 1 mid-term test and 1 progress test. At the end of your course, you will get a certificate that shows how long you studied, the level you achieved and your grades for speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
